Ruth Brummund

Brummund (born September 28, 1921) is a German astrologer involved in astrological research. Prior to that she was a chemist.

Life
Brummund was born in Johannisburg (Pisz), East Prussia. Her more conventionally accepted work as a professional chemist supported her while she undertook research in the then stigmatized field of astrology.

Studies
Her astrological studies began in 1956 with Edith Wangemann of the "School of Cosmobiology." This eventually led to her study of the source material on which Cosmobiology was originally based, leading to her study with Hamburg School of Astrology practitioner Ludwig Rudolph in 1969. Brummund deliberately chose the more progressive astrological approaches based on contemporary research rather than strict astrological tradition. Her substantial contributions to the field were recognized by such eminent German astrological scholars as Dr Christoph Schubert-Weller , and British astrological research analyst Charles Harvey .
